How are coconuts converted into Coconut Milk Powder?
Handpicked coconuts are sent to Nestlé approved coconut mills, where the shell is removed and the white coconut ball is cut into small pieces. From these pieces, we extract coconut milk and that milk is sent to the Nestlé Lanka factory in Pannala. Next a process known as ‘spray-drying’ is used to give you the fine powder that has a similar consistency and taste as the coconut milk you make at home. Spray drying is the same process that is used to produce full cream milk powder from fresh milk!
